Alright, so we're on our way out to a house in Metuchen. I got a call from a homeowner who's trying to sell the property. The problem is he pulled the tank out illegally. So now he's got an issue with the buyer because the buyer did an OPRA request, which is essentially a request where they go down to the town, they ask for all the documents and any permits that were ever applied for, any work that was ever done at the property. And it popped up that there was a permit applied for, but it was never inspected.
Now, the seller, he put an addition over the area where the tank was. This could be a major, major clean up if this thing was leaking. They never had it inspected, so the town needs samples to prove that it's clean under the addition. Of course, the buyer now wants to make sure that they're buying a property that's clean, and that the soil is clean under that addition as well. So it should be interesting to find out what's going on under there. My tech is here, Justin's here. He might be in the basement already.
Yeah. So we just wrapped up sampling that excavation where we think the tank was. And the soil looks clean. So I think the homeowner is going to be in good shape. We're sending the samples to the lab. We'll take three to five days to get the results. And I think everything's going to be okay over here. So they dodged a bullet for sure.
Metuchen, huh? They're going to be happy. That's good. That's that job in Metuchen. That's the one we did, we found under the footing, under the addition that they put. The samples came back clean, so they'll be super happy. I.A.L. is here. Lab. Cool.
