Good morning! "Tank" the mascot has another Simple Tank tip for you to start your Friday off on the right foot!

We hear from our clients a lot that they fear that the contractor determines on how much soil needs to be removed and how can they trust that the contractor will do the right thing and not dig up their entire front lawn when it's not necessary.

There is an easy way to keep your contractor honest. Step 1 - Choose the contractor you feel most comfortable with to perform your soil remediation. Step 2 - Hire another 3rd party geologist (you can find the list of all certified geologists on the NJDEP website) to over see the work being done by your contractor.

This will run you about $85 per hour and you will need them for about 4 hours.

So essentially you will hire your own geologist just to over see your contractor and their geologist. This little tip can save you thousands on your final bill because your contractor will be watched by someone who has experience in the industry.

If you would like us to explain this in further detail, please call our office anytime!
